Update on Settlement for A Million Little Pieces

This is really surprising. The book that James Frey wrote, A MILLION LITTLE PIECES, which was touted as a memoir but was later revealed to be filled with lies and exaggerations, has only had 1700 people claim the refund that was offered in the court case, suing Random House for millions of dollars.

Were the rest of the people just too lazy to claim their money or did they like the book so much they didn't care if it was fiction or not?
